Radyr Woods

Join CCV on Sunday 26th January 2020 for coppicing trees at Radyr Woods! Coppicing is a form of woodland management that involves cutting down trees, leaving a stump about one foot high which allows new shoots to grow from the stump. This extends the life of the coppiced trees indefinitely.

*****You can join us by ringing/texting 07450700214*****

NOTE! Do phone the leader or email in advance so we can make sure there’s enough space. Steve Edwards will be leading the task.

PLEASE only RSVP if you are certain you can attend and let the leader know if you cannot make it for whatever reason as seats on the bus are limited and you would be denying another volunteer from coming out on task!

If you are already a member you can access the programme through our website and find out more information about who we are and what we do:

What to do and bring:

• Book with the relevant leader – Seats on the minibus are limited

• No experience necessary – All training is provided

• Outside Cardiff Museum at 9am or outside the warden centre at Forest Farm in Whitchurch at 8:30am

• It is possible to use your own transport and meet on site if easier but please confirm with the leader first

• Wear suitable outdoor clothing, sturdy boots and/or waterproofs

• Bring a packed lunch – We will provide the hot drinks and biscuits.

Hope to see you soon!

Please be aware that plans are subject to change at the discretion of the client.

New Year’s Walk

Let’s walk into the New Year with CCV in some of the country’s most stunning scenery on Sunday 5th January!

We can arrange pick up in the minibus outside Forest Farm Country Park, Whitchurch at 8:30am or Cardiff museum at 9am – Please let us know which you would prefer!

The walk will be lead by Ben Isaac and will roughly finish around 4pm at the pub for something to eat (completely optional).

– To book a space on our minibus please contact our hotline number 07450700214 to arrange pick up.

– Same rules of the day as a task day – wear suitable outdoor clothing!

– Very welcome to bring your own food

– Please contact the Facebook page for more information on how to book!

Hope to see you there!
