Heol y Cyw

Join CCV on Sunday 28th April to help with footpath clearance! Another trip to Heol y Cyw – if we spotted any stiles that needed repairing on the last task, we may do that today, along with any more clearance that needs doing.
*****You can join us by ringing/texting 07450700214*****

NOTE! Do phone the leader or email in advance so we can make sure there’s enough space. Steve Edwards will be leading the task.

PLEASE only RSVP if you are certain you can attend and let the leader know if you cannot make it for whatever reason as seats on the bus are limited and you would be denying another volunteer from coming out on task!

If you are already a member you can access the programme through our website and find out more information about who we are and what we do:

What to do and bring:

• Book with the relevant leader – Seats on the minibus are limited

• No experience necessary – All training is provided

• Outside Cardiff Museum at 9am or outside the warden centre at Forest Farm in Whitchurch at 8:30am

• It is possible to use your own transport and meet on site if easier but please confirm with the leader first

• Wear suitable outdoor clothing, sturdy boots and/or waterproofs

• Bring a packed lunch – We will provide the hot drinks and biscuits.

Hope to see you soon!

Please be aware that plans are subject to change at the discretion of the client.

Cosmeston Lake

ATTENTION!!
There has been a change of plan for this Sunday’s task. Instead, join CCV on Sunday 21st April where we will be joining forces with Natural Resources Wales to help install a fence. We’ll be heading to a site near Cosmeston Lakes to make a start work on a stretch of fence that will protect water voles on a river bank, whose peace is currently being spoiled by cows eager for a drink!

Pyle

Join CCV on Sunday 14th April to help with scrub clearance, litter picking and path maintenance in Pyle! It’s amazing what you find when you do a litter pick – last time Tina came home with a chimney pot, and Ian found a toilet seat (only in a marginally worse state of repair than our current one). Join us for another treasure hunt! Tina Giblett will be leading the task.

Diana Gardens

Join CCV on Sunday 31st March to help another new site, and potentially quite a big challenge! Diana Gardens in Ely has been badly neglected over the years, but efforts are now underway to turn it back into a thriving community space. This should be a highly rewarding day out. Martin Kelly will be leading the task.
