Cwm Nofydd

Join us Sunday 14th January at Cwm Nofydd in Rhiwbina to help coppice trees!
Coppicing is a traditional method of woodland management which takes advantage of the fact that many trees make new growth from the stump or roots if cut down. In a coppiced wood, which is called a copse, young tree stems are repeatedly cut down to near ground level.
****Contact Julia Mansbridge on 07450700214 to book a space on the bus****

No experience necessary. Come in appropriate clothes for working outside, wear sturdy boots and bring a packed lunch. We’ll provide hot drinks and biscuits.
We meet at the Cardiff Museum at 9am or please arrange with Ben if you would prefer to meet us at Forest Farm, Whitchurch (outside the warden’s centre) or on site.
Please be aware that plans are subject to change at the discretion of the client.
