Dan Y Bryn Woods

Join CCV Sunday 22nd October to help with coppicing at Dan Y Bryn Woods in Radyr!

Coppicing is a traditional method of woodland management which takes advantage of the fact that many trees make new growth from the stump or roots if cut down. In a coppiced wood, which is called a copse, young tree stems are repeatedly cut down to near ground level.

Ian Mansbridge is leading this week’s task so please contact him to book a space on the minibus or click the ‘join us’ tab to become a member to receive the programme.
*****Book a space by ringing/texting 07450700214*****
No experience necessary. Come in appropriate clothes for working outside, wear sturdy boots and bring a packed lunch. We’ll provide hot drinks and biscuits.
We meet at the Cardiff Museum at 9am or please arrange with Ian if you would prefer to meet us at Forest Farm, Whitchurch (outside the warden’s centre) or on site.
Please be aware that plans are subject to change at the discretion of the client.
